Who we are
MindMotivation.uk is a free rune oracle and Norse wisdom site. We are based in the United Kingdom. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at hello@mindmotivation.uk.
What data we collect
We believe in collecting as little as possible. Here is exactly what we collect and why:
- Email address — if you subscribe to our weekly rune newsletter. We store this to send you the newsletter and nothing else.
- Cookie consent preference — stored locally in your browser so we do not ask you again on every visit.
- Analytics data — only if you accept analytics cookies. This includes pages visited, approximate location (country level only), device type, and how long you spend on the site. We use this to understand what content is most useful. No personally identifiable information is included.
We do not collect your name, phone number, payment details, or any sensitive personal information. The rune readings you draw are generated entirely in your browser and are not sent to or stored on any server.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use two types:
- Essential cookies — required for the site to function correctly. These store your cookie consent choice. They cannot be switched off.
- Analytics cookies — only set if you click "Accept all" on our cookie banner. These help us understand how the site is being used. You can decline these with no impact on your experience.
You can withdraw your analytics consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies. This will reset your preference and show the cookie banner again on your next visit.
Newsletter subscribers
If you subscribe to our weekly rune reading newsletter:
- Your email address is stored securely by our email service provider.
- We will only use it to send you the MindMotivation.uk newsletter.
- We will never sell, share, or rent your email address to any third party.
- Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can leave at any time with no questions asked.
- We comply with the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data (the right to be forgotten)
- Withdraw consent for marketing at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk

Third party services
We use a small number of external services to run the site:
- Google Fonts — to load the typefaces used across the site. Google may log your IP address when fonts are requested. See Google's privacy policy.
- Email service provider — to send the weekly newsletter. Only your email address is shared with them.
- Hosting provider — standard server logs (IP address, pages requested) may be retained for up to 30 days for security purposes.
Data retention
We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to the newsletter. When you unsubscribe, your address is deleted within 30 days.
Analytics data, if consented to, is retained in aggregated, anonymised form only. No individual-level data is stored beyond 26 months.
Children
MindMotivation.uk is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated to newsletter subscribers.
